About the Keyzer family

The Keyzer family’s passions include: social justice (avoiding purchasing products made by slaves, advocating for marginalized populations locally, and financially supporting agencies that provide food, water and education internationally)  music (playing, listening and going to shows), the kingdom of God (striving to respond to Jesus’ call in our lives) and spending time with our community (friends, neighbors, and housemates).

We live in community with other believers that share a similar goal: to live as simply as possible so that our time can be spent building relationships with family, friends and neighbors instead of working to build an American dream.  We also seem to be about adopting kids. :)

Jon currently works at the Northern Lighthouse church as a pastor of sorts.  I, Anna, work as an office manager and insurance specialist at Trinity Chiropractic.  We are both passionate about loving broken people and pointing them to the healing grace of Christ.  We are very involved in the prision ministry of our church and the ministry of our community to help those struggling with homelessness and drug abuse.  We find that God allows us to be a family for those who don't have family.  It is a high calling but also a hard one. We could not do anything we are doing without the grace of God and the support of believers, both in our lives and those praying for us from afar.  Thank you for your support.

  1. Hi, we are also pursuing a Bulgarian adoption through Reece's Rainbow. I would love to be able to connect with other families that are on a similar journey!

  2. Hi! I found your blog from the Hidden Treasures auction page. We are an adoptive family too (we have 4 amazing kiddos, two with special needs). I'm so excited for you about Peyton/Simon! :) I love the idea of your community and this is something that I would love to do but I have no idea where to start. Would you be willing to email with me about it sometime? My email is paradisefound2001 at gmail dot com
